Short description: Senator Wine is a private company that tries to bring the Romanian varieties to the world and to obtain international varieties by bringing out the Romanian terroir. Senator Wine began to produce wines in the Vrancea region, which is one of the oldest and most renowned vineyards from Romania. Our company combines historical tradition with modern technology in order to produce distinct wines, with a strong personality, which express the uniqueness of the terroir. Senator Wine came about as a result of our passion for wines. Our historical roots lie in the oldest wine making region, Vrancea. This is where our first wines were produced, in harmony with the customs and history of the place. Gradually, our activity expanded to other growing areas in the country. At the moment, in the company's portfolio there are over 20 wine varieties.
Over the years the company grew and now exploits over 800 Ha of vineyards in four different regions from Romania: Vrancea, Insuratei (Braila), Husi and Tirol (Caras Severin). With vineyards in four different areas in Romania, the company has the possibility to select the best wines from each region and to offer its consumers a high quality standard.
Since 2010, Senator Wine has been producing wines from organic grapes - in the vineyard Însurăţei - in accordance with all current EU rules.
Investments in technology and land have enabled us to provide the best conditions for the production of wine, regardless of variety. The Senator Wine team is a team of passionate people who have always been committed to the art of winemaking. Thus, wines are prepared with the utmost care.
We believe in the quality of Romanian wines, be they produced from Romanian varieties or from international varieties. Our export activities extend to over 20 countries around the world, focusing on markets in China, Japan, Canada and the USA.
