Short description:
Started in the 1990s from the passion of the French count Guy de Poix for the Romanian terroir, SERVE Winery is a family winery, being the first private investment in Romanian wine after the revolution, the pioneer in modern winemaking in our country and the savior of the Fetească Neagră variety.
With its winery and vineyards in Dealu Mare, just an hour from Bucharest, SERVE has left its mark both in school wines (Vinul Cavalerului) and in the HORECA area (Terra Romana). Through Cuvées, it innovated and created a trend and a style of assemblage (later internationally recognized and awarded) between Romanian varieties with international varieties.
After 30 years of activity, the transition to the new generation of owners (Silviana Petre-Badea and Paul Badea, daughter and son of Mihaela de POIX) and to the new generation of oenologists (Sabin Baniță grows to the position of senior oenologist, mentored by Aurel Rotărescu) takes place. Both come with the vision and energy of another generation and with the ambition to continue the SERVE business with respect for what they inherited, but also with the ambition to innovate both in the product and in winemaking and vine cultivation methods and to leave their mark on Romanian wine as a national brand.
