Short description: In 2023, VINTRUVIAN ESTATES SRL, the owner of Caii de la Letea, Crama DeMatei, and Crama Histria, successfully acquired 100% of the shares in SC CRAMA MENNINI SRL, renowned for producing several wines with the Controlled Designation of Origin (DOC) Dragasani.
Following the acquisition, Vintruvian Estates embarked on a significant investment program aimed at both expanding the red wine aging capacity—introducing 180 new barrels sourced from the USA, France, and Romania, along with four vats ranging between 3,000 and 5,000 liters—and preparing for the introduction of sparkling wines.
This strategic investment has augmented the winery's maximum production capacity to 700,000 bottles per annum.
Today, the winery unveils a refreshed brand identity, adopting the new name Crama Olterra, along with a portfolio of premium wines derived from the distinctive grape varieties native to the region.
Olterra represents the modern wines of Dragasani, drawing inspiration from local folklore with its rich array of expressions. The collections Luturi and Scoarte exhibit a refined aesthetic that distills everything to its essence, reflecting a timeless philosophy that has been preserved for millennia, marked by its simplicity and enduring relevance.
